Liberals’ Use of Black People

By Walter Williams

walter_williamsBack in the day, when hunting was the major source of food, hunters often used stalking horses as a means of sneaking up on their quarry. They would walk on the opposite side of the horse until they were close enough to place a good shot on whatever they were hunting. A stalking horse not only concealed them but also, if their target was an armed man and they were discovered, would take the first shot. That’s what blacks are to liberals and progressives in their efforts to transform America — stalking horses.

Let’s look at some of the ways white liberals use black people. One of the more obvious ways is for liberals to equate any kind of injustices suffered by homosexuals and women to the black struggle for civil rights. But it is just plain nonsense to suggest any kind of equivalency between the problems of homosexuals and women and the centuries of slavery followed by Jim Crow, lynching, systematic racial discrimination and the blood, sweat and tears of the black civil rights movement.

The largest and most powerful labor union in the country is the National Education Association, with well over 3 million members. Teachers benefit enormously from their education monopoly. It yields higher pay and lower accountability. It’s a different story for a large percentage of black people who receive fraudulent education. The NEA’s white liberals — aided by black teachers, politicians and so-called black leaders — cooperate to ensure that black parents who want their children to have a better education have few viable choices.

Whenever there has been a serious push for school choice, educational vouchers, tuition tax credits or even charter schools, the NEA has fought against it. One of the more callous examples of that disregard for black education was New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s cutback on funding for charter schools where black youngsters were succeeding in getting a better education. That was de Blasio’s way of paying back New York’s teachers union for the political support it gave him in his quest for the mayor’s office.

White liberals in the media and academia, along with many blacks, have been major supporters of the recent marches protesting police conduct. A man from Mars, knowing nothing about homicide facts, would conclude that the major problem black Americans have with murder and brutality results from the behavior of racist policemen. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, there are about 200 police arrest-related deaths of blacks each year (between 300 and 400 for whites). That number pales in comparison with the roughly 7,000 annual murders of blacks, 94 percent of which are committed by blacks. The number of blacks being murdered by other blacks is of little concern to liberals. Their agenda is to use arrest-related deaths of blacks to undermine established authority.

Liberals often have demeaning attitudes toward blacks. When Secretary of State John Kerry was a U.S. senator, in a statement about so many blacks being in prison, he said, “That’s unacceptable, but it’s not their fault.” Would Kerry also say that white prison inmates are also faultless? Johns Hopkins University sociologist Andrew Cherlin told us: “It has yet to be shown that the absence of a father was directly responsible for any of the supposed deficiencies of broken homes. … (The problem) is not the lack of male presence but the lack of male income.” The liberal vision is that fathers and husbands can be replaced by a welfare check.

Liberals desperately need blacks. If the Democratic Party lost just 30 percent of the black vote, it would mean the end of the liberal agenda. That means blacks must be kept in a perpetual state of grievance in order to keep them as a one-party people in a two-party system. When black Americans finally realize how much liberals have used them, I’m betting they will be the nation’s most conservative people. Who else has been harmed as much by liberalism’s vision and agenda?

No Kim Davis Fan, But Freedom Took a Hit Today

Oh the glee! Oh the mockery! Oh the jubilation!

Kim Davis, a Christian clerk has been sent to jail (yep jail) for her failure to comply with the law that allows same-sex couples to marry! Her refusal to put her name on the license granting a couple legal authority to wed has landed her in the slammer!

Didn’t we see this coming to America?

Jesus speaking of the last days warned his disciples, saying “But before all these things they will lay hands on you and they shall persecute you and they shall deliver you to councils and prisons, and they shall bring you before Kings and Governors because of my name.

For the first time in the United States, the words of Jesus (at least in this matter), has come to pass.

Christians have been taken to court and huge fines imposed – but no Christian, until today, had gone to prison.

Yes, this clerk failed to obey the law. But even those who brought suit against her asked the judge not to jail, but rather to fine her until she obeyed the law.

What are the implications?

There are three:

1) The end of days is closer than we think. Christians must straighten up, look up, for our redemption draws nigh (Luke 21:28).

This is not the time for God’s people to hold their heads down and become bowed with the persecution and trials we are to face. It is a time to rejoice, focus on our returning Lord, preach the gospel of the Kingdom, and rejoice!

2) All will feel the punishment.

The punishment that was meted out to this individual clerk was also meted out to all freedom loving people.

All of America will feel the loss of freedom in this action taken today.

When one freedom is removed (freedom of religion), the others are sure to follow.

Americans have not been paying attention. First Amendment freedoms are first because they are the most important to a free people.

When we can’t write what we believe, can’t speak what we believe, can’t gather together to demonstrate what we believe…then we can’t act on what we believe.

Men (and women) who can’t act are not free!

In this, we are all equally oppressed and equally suppressed. Yeah for equality!

3) The real division will manifest.

I can’t help but recall the words of Christ as recorded in the gospels of Matthew and Luke.

Mt 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Mt 10:36 And a man’s foes [shall be] they of his own household.

Lu 12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Do you see it now?

I don’t know about you, but I know people like her. They are in my family. They are my friends. They are people I work with. They are my neighbors.

They are people who feel so passionately about something that they refuse to back away from [it]. Whatever the ‘it’ happens to be.

Do you have anything you hold that closely to yourself? Something you absolutely will not compromise on, for anyone, at anytime?

We’ve seen people murdered in cold blood for that kind of belief. We’ve seen people kill them for having such deeply held beliefs.

So I ask a question, when they come for your mother, who refuses to comply, will you turn her over? Gleefully celebrate her incarceration?

What relative, friend, co-worker, or neighbor are you willing to turn over to the authorities because ‘they won’t comply’?

Let me make this clear. I am not defending Kim Davis. I think she handled this badly. What I am defending so fiercely is freedom!

Freedom took a hit today — woe to America!

Race Relations and Legalized Gay Marriage

After the recent Supreme Court ruling giving gay couples the right to marry nationwide, the Civitas Institute engaged the services of National Research, Inc., of Holmdel, NJ to poll North Carolina voters on their current position on same-sex marriage.

In May 2012, North Carolina voters, by a margin of 61% to 39% voted to amend its constitution, banning same-sex marriage in the state.

Three years later, if a referendum vote were held today, according to this poll, two-thirds of N.C. voters still support the traditional view of marriage.

“Sixty-four percent of voters supported the clause in the North Carolina Constitution that defines marriage as being between one man and one woman. Sixty-three percent of respondents said they think officials who object to same-sex marriage on religious grounds should not be compelled to perform same-sex marriages.”

http://www.nccivitas.org/2015/civitas-poll-nc-voters-back-traditional-marriage/

On the question “Do you support the State Constitution, which defines marriage as between one man and one woman,” nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of all participants responded affirmatively. Additionally:

  • Overall support mirrored the rates among men and women individually.
  • All age groups other than 18-25 year olds expressed support of at least 57 percent with 71 percent of those 66 and older supporting the Constitution.
  • Black North Carolinians expressed the strongest support for traditional marriage at 67 percent, followed closely by 63 percent of white North Carolinians.
  • A majority of all political affiliations also support the constitutional definition of marriage—82 percent of Republicans, 56 percent of Independents, and 55 percent of Democrats.

On the religious freedom question, 63 percent of North Carolinians disagree with “state government court officials, such as register of deeds, who oppose same sex marriage on religious grounds, [being] compelled to perform and certify same sex marriages, even if it clearly violates an individual’s religious convictions,” Additionally:

  • Among men and women separately, more than 6 in 10 (64 percent of men and 61 percent of women) support religious exemptions for government officials.

  • More than three-fourths (77 percent) of 18-25 year olds support such religious liberty exemptions. At least 54 percent of all age groups disagreed with compulsory participation in same sex marriages.

  • Again, black North Carolinians expressed the highest levels of support for religious liberty (66 percent), followed closely by 62 percent of both white and other race North Carolinians.

  • All political affiliations disagree with forcing government officials to participate in same sex marriages, with 76 percent of Republicans clocking in at the highest rate.

http://www.ncfamily.org/north-carolinians-still-support-marriage-and-religious-freedom/

See cross tabs here.

Although North Carolina is only one state out of fifty within the U.S., these poll results are supported by other data which shows that Black Americans continue to resist same-sex marriage at higher levels than other demographic groups.

A Pew Research study in May of this year shows that “African Americans have become more supportive of same-sex marriage over the last decade. However, overall views are mixed: 51% of blacks oppose gays and lesbians marrying legally, while 41% are in favor. Majorities of whites (59%) and Hispanics (56%) now favor same-sex marriage. The racial differences in these opinions largely persist even when taking into account other factors, such as age, religious affiliation and attendance at religious services.”

Religion weighs heavily in the continued opposition to same-sex marriage among all demographics, but is particularly strong among Blacks.

Faith

  • 83% of Blacks describe themselves as Christian, and nearly half (41%) attend church at least once a week
  • 91% trust God to take care of things
  • 70% of women believe that faith in God is more likely to help them recover from a serious illness (59% among men)
  • One in ten say they have no religion or that they are atheists or agnostic

Black Solidarity

  • 71% think it’s important “to stick together to achieve gains for the community”

  • Six in 10 believe that, with very few exceptions, problems in the Black community can be solved by Blacks themselves

  • 64% prefer businesses that give back to the Black community

  • 46% of Blacks think that recent Black immigrants don’t understand the African-American struggle

Perhaps nothing will change or everything will change… but what do you think the gay marriage ruling will mean for race relations in America?

Black People Must Stop Begging for Crumbs from the Fake Masters’ Table

These are the words I received in a post from a Black Democrat.

“I sometimes get the feeling that blacks who subscribe to the conservative agenda do so out of a sort of self-hate. Not that they actually hate themselves, but they dislike being including with a group of people who are treated the way black people in the USA are treated, and it is easier and sometimes even lucrative to voice opposition to people who look like you and I. Maybe self-dislike is a better word than self-hate. ”

Historically, movement for equality among Blacks has come about as a result of Blacks who didn’t ‘tow the line’ and accept the status quo.

The great abolitionist Harriet Tubman said, “I freed a lot of slaves. I could have freed a lot more if they had known they were slaves”.

Another great abolitionist and former slave Frederick Douglass said,
“Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them.”

Black Democrats have chosen to remain with a regime that placed them where they are from the beginning. It is the regime that placed them in a place of subservience, dependency, and indignity. What they did through slavery and Jim Crow has continued through to modern day and remains a place of subservience, dependency and indignity.

Today, Black Democrats continue to beg for the crumbs from the master’s table; continue to except what the masters tell them is injustice and wrong — and still they march. Slaves who fail to recognize that they are still slaves.

I am absolutely sure that Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass argued with those who looked like them. ‘Come, let us go to freedom. Come!’ I am equally sure they didn’t argue with them because they hated being associated with slaves like them.

Black Democrats continue to beg and plead with the regime — ‘stop killing us’, ‘give us $15/per hour’, ‘redirect the wealth’, ‘house us’, ‘feed us’… subservience, dependency, indignity.

And look at how white Liberals/Democrats/Progressives howl to keep you there! They crawl with you into your hole of misery and neither you or they have the where-with-all to get out.

Black Conservatives are telling you that THIS ain’t good enough. THIS is crumbs from the masters’ table. THIS doesn’t move you out or up – it keeps you IN!

Black Conservatives are telling you to stop listening to their lies that tell you that you cannot be a man who is able to feed his own family, stay married and be sexually moral, pursue his own education, build his own business and housing, and keep his own neighborhood free from crime.

Black conservatives are not telling you to forget that you are black, but rather reject those who would tell you your skin color is a hindrance to overcome.

I, as a Black conservative am not telling you this because I think I’m better than you – I’m telling you this because I know you’re better than what the white/liberal/progressives think and say you are.

Unless the crumbs you are begging for come from the true Master’s table, you will always be hungry — always!

Are You Guilty? Hate Breeds Hate!

It doesn’t matter whether this young deranged man killed because he hated a race, or because he hated a religion.

The point is that — he hated!

I have spent days trying to get my emotions under control. I’m still not sure that I have mastered my emotions. But here goes none-the-less!

I am angry.

Those people you now feel such sorrow for were Christians! They were my brothers and sisters in Christ! They were a member of my family — my spiritual family!

I am a Christian, Black (authentically born), a woman (authentically born), disabled, poor, quite a few years over age 40, and a Conservative.

All of these things have and will be used against me at some point in my life.

You want to put on airs at what this racist, lost, white youth did against these church-going Blacks, but although you didn’t plot and plan or enter in and pull the trigger, you are guilty too!

You’re guilty of putting down people because of their religion, their age, their economic class, their abilities, their political affiliations, and their gender. How are you any different than the one who murders because of race? Or because of faith? You are saved only because you didn’t pull the trigger!

Jesus said in Mathew 5:22 “But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”

What Jesus is saying is that you’re guilty just by your words. Whether you actually did the deed is immaterial.

Yes, you know who you are. You’re the one’s who have said anyone who believes in God is somehow a fool and less intelligent than those who believe in science. The one’s who have become angry at those who allow their religion to enter into their politics. The one’s who have said all white men are the scourge of the Earth. The one’s who insist that all those who live in the ‘Projects’ are lazy. The one’s who put up cartoons that make a mockery of liberals or ‘right-wing dingbats’.

It is all those who condemn with words.

Seeds start small, but they often produce big things. Bad seed produces bad fruit.

Who is reading what you write? Who is hearing what you say? Who already has a dark heart and weak mind and is ready to believe you?

This young racist was not born that way. He was taught. He heard certain voices. He believed those voices.

These were my brothers and sisters in Christ. I weep for the loss of my family members. I weep because there was hatred for their race. I weep more because some of you condemned them even before they were killed. You condemned their faith and love for Christ.

What are you personally espousing against race, political affiliation, sexuality, religious beliefs, economic status, and on-and-on? What kind of seeds are you sowing? Are they seeds of love, tolerance, and acceptance? Really?

I’ll pray that all of us can learn to practice true tolerance and love for each other and watch our words. We don’t know who is listening.

The bible says “do not judge,” but many Christians are judgemental – Christian Blog

The bible says “do not judge,” but many Christians are judgemental – Christian Blog.

By Michal Ortner

Michael Hidalgo, a pastor at Denver Community Church and contributor to Relevant Magazine, addresses the issue of judgmental Christians in his blog, “Why are Christians so Judgmental?” The phrase “do not judge” is so commonly used among Christians and non-believers, but not so easily understood.

Hidalgo says that the real problem is not in discerning the difference in good from evil, but when condemnation comes into play.

“Just last week, I spoke with a young woman who had not been to Church in over 10 years. Her reason was simple: she felt condemned. When she was younger, she made a mistake. The attitude and words of those in her Church told her she was not welcome. So she left. To this day she carries the wounds given to her by others,” he writes.

Something about a judgmental attitude “feeds” humans and their need to feel “superior and righteous.” In contrast, to “reconcile, restore and renew” does not seem to bring as much fulfillment. According to Hidalgo, “the people of God are called to be ministers of reconciliation.”

“The cross was the single greatest act of love in human history, and it was, at the same time, extremely violent. The difference is Jesus took the violence on Himself. He did not strike out at those who mocked Him or fight against those who nailed Him in place; He forgave them. In the midst of punishment at the hands of humans, Jesus loved and loved violently,” he explains.

This is the ultimate solution to the prideful attitude of judgment. Hidalgo continues the story of the young woman who left the church for over 10 years. He says that she returned because someone showed her love. Rather than condemnation, she was met with empathetic tears that led to reconciliation.

“We must see our appetite for judgment has caused us to be overstuffed and unconcerned for the hearts of others. Many of us have abandoned our call to be ministers of reconciliation. Rather than renew, redeem and restore, we tear down and create mounds of ruin. We have a bloodlust, forgetting all the while that the blood spilled on the cross was enough for all of us—and no more blood needs to be spilled,” Hidalgo writes.

Hidalgo gives a call for Christians to abandon their judgmental attitudes and to take up their cross of violent love for others. This can only be accomplished through the Holy Spirit.

Black Unemployment Rises Again! Immigration is Killing Us!

The overall jobless rate for May 2015 is 5.5% with 280,000 jobs added. But don’t get excited yet!

Black unemployment (which had fallen last month for the first time since the 2008 recession to single digits), rose from 9.6% to the familiar double-digit numbers, at 10.2%.

What is the problem?

“Data shows that 12.4 percent of African American college graduates between 22 and 27 years old were unemployed compared to the national unemployment rate for white college students — whose unemployment rate was at a steady 5.6 percent — in the same age bracket. There is also a substantial difference in the median weekly paycheck between the races. A white college grad earned $1,132 while a black college grad earned $895.”

If Black youth are completing college with degrees in hand (as are other minorities), why isn’t it reflected in these employment gains? Why isn’t it reflected in their paychecks (if they get one)? Are they graduating with the ‘wrong’ degrees? Are they not applying for employment? If they are working, does their work not pay the same as whites?

While there is a great deal of energy being spent on protests against police brutality, these protests are not putting food on the table and roofs over the heads of children suffering under the burden of unrelenting poverty.

Some of that positive energy and motivation needs to be devoted to demanding a change in public policy that prioritizes black joblessness and under-employment – two major contributors to inequality and marginal lives.

Something’s going on, and the black president, black civil rights leaders and black politicians need to work with other power-brokers to find the root cause and address long-term black unemployment. It’s time to stop going back to the tired excuse, ‘black unemployment has always been high’!

Failed policies and politics that whine about ‘income inequality’ would direct us away from the root cause of poverty and income inequality –lack of good paying jobs. And then the root cause of lack of good paying jobs is (I’m going to say it!) immigration (illegal and legal). But for now, let’s focus on the president’s reigning project, illegal immigration.

Our political leaders would have us be receptive to receiving with open arms millions of illegal immigrants (oh I’m sorry, was I suppose to use ‘undocumented’?) into the work force. You know, to bring them out of the shadows.

How does this make sense? The Black American worker IS the one in the shadows!

From the first quarter of 2009 to the third quarter of 2012, most of the net increase in the number of people working went to immigrants. Acknowledging that the presence of both legal and illegal immigrant workers in the labor market makes the U.S. economy (GDP) an estimated 11 percent larger ($1.6 trillion) each year; doesn’t remove the fact that to generate the surplus of $35 billion, immigration reduces the wages of Americans in competition with immigrants by an estimated $402 billion a year, while increasing profits or the incomes of users of immigrants by an estimated $437 billion.

Yes you read that right. Any surplus generated goes to immigrants! Not Americans!

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) states…

“A large share of employment growth was going to immigrants well before President Obama took office. However, he has taken steps to increase the level of job competition from foreign-born workers:

  • He offered work authorization to an estimated two million illegal immigrants who arrived in the country before age 16 — nearly 200,000 of whom have applied so far.
  • When auditing employers who hire illegal workers, the administration has not detained the illegal workers as a matter of policy, allowing them to take new jobs.
  • The administration called on the Supreme Court in 2010 to strike down Arizona’s law requiring employers to verify the legal status of new workers.”

So although we can’t blame President Obama for all the negative outcomes of increased immigration, he isn’t helping the American worker, especially not the Black American worker.

By increasing the supply of workers, immigration reduces the wages for Americans in competition with immigrants. Hardest hit are the young, the less-educated, and minorities.

One of the most frequent comments made by those who support immigration (legal and illegal) is that immigrants take jobs that Americans will not do or they take high tech jobs that we are unable to fill with American workers.

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) has also found that immigrants have landed employment in all areas of the job market; including lower-skilled jobs such as maintenance, construction, and food service; middle-skilled jobs like office support and health care support; and higher-skilled jobs, including management, computers, and health care practitioners.

Immigration explains a big chunk of the “jobless recovery” characterized by high unemployment and chronic high underemployment among teenagers, recent graduates, minorities, the disabled, and Americans in their 50s and 60s who face what amounts to job and hiring discrimination.”

Yet the first black president said this yesterday, ““Some folks are still fighting against these actions (speaking on immigration), “I’m going to keep fighting for them. Because the law is on our side. It’s the right thing to do. And it will make America stronger.” What he’s speaking of fighting to do is to bring illegal immigrants “out of the shadows.” Yes, he wants to increase the supply of workers!

When is the emphasis going to be on bringing American workers out of the shadows? Specifically in this case Black American workers!

I repeat… how does this make sense?
